I have a background in fine arts.  I worked for many years as a photo retoucher and also in desktop publishing and computer graphics.  In 2002, I decided to make a career change to the field of restorative dentistry.  I went back to school, attending New York City College of Technology.  I graduated in 2004 with a degree in Dental Laboratory Technology.  I have been working for Dr. Mukamal for three years and have learned so much in that short amount of time.  The challenge of working in a dental office, as opposed to working in a commercial lab, has inspired me to further my education.  I am currently enrolled in a master dental technician program that covers a comprehensive study of occlusion and the physiology of the head and neck.
