Dr. Mukamal is a graduate of SUNY at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Engineering Science Degree. He earned his D.D.S. degree from New York University and then completed a general practice residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Mukamal began the practice of dentistry in Manhattan, New York and now practices in Woodmere on Long Island. The AGD has acknowledged him as a Fellow and he has also been honored by the New York State Dental Society for completing more than 3500 hours of continuing education.

Dr. Mukamal was on the teaching staff at Mt. Sinai Hospital early in his career. He is a visiting faculty member of the Pankey Institute and is President of the LD Pankey Alumni Association. He has also been awarded the distinguished status of Pankey Scholar.
